Frequently Asked Questions
1. How frequent are sessions?
It depends, but I prefer to start out weekly and go from there.

3. How much is the session fee?
I prefer to discuss this during our consultation call because some people will be able to use their insurance while others may choose to pay out of pocket. I also have spots available for reduced fee. My rates also differ based on type of service and length of session.

4. Do you accept insurance?
I do not take most insurances, but if you have questions about this, please reach out. I completely understand that many individuals prefer to use their health insurance to cover some or all of the cost of therapy. To determine if you have mental health coverage, the first thing you should do is check with your insurance carrier.

Check your coverage and find the answers to the following questions:
-
What are my mental health benefits?
-
Does my insurance have any out-of-network mental health coverage?
-
What is the out-of-network coverage amount per therapy session?
-
How many therapy sessions does my plan cover for out-of-network therapy?
-
Is approval required from my primary care physician?

5. What types of payment do you accept?
I accept all major credit cards, cash, or check. I use an app called IvyPay to accept card payments. It is a HIPAA compliant app. I never have to ask for or store your credit card information on my end. Most people pay with a credit card during their first session and then I’m able to charge that card after each session.

6. Do you offer a sliding scale fee?
I maintain a limited amount of sliding scale spots in my schedule. If you do not think you would
be able to afford the full fee, do not hesitate to call me, because if I am unable to see you I would be happy to offer referrals to other trusted therapists in the area.
